Why hire a website designer?Personally I started designing websites because I knew I could do it but I started like most people do. I had to do everything myself and there was very little money to do it with. The site design, decide the colors, marketing the product and everything else. At the start I worked full time at a job and then put in another 50-60 hours a week making sites. As my business grew over time some of my sites were just to simple to do what I wanted them to do so I hired a designer to create a totally new site for me. Of course that was after I made enough money to be able to afford it.While this may sound familiar to some of you who have been around the net for a few years this is still the one place you can start your own business with no money and not having to hire anyone to do anything for you. That's if you have the time, willpower and drive to do it. If you have it, go for it as you can still make a ton of money on the net. There's a lot more to hiring a designer than just hiring them to do something you don't want to do. Why bother to hire anyone if you are just trying to get out of doing something you don't like to do. It's just going to cost you money for something you could have done yourself. However if you can hire someone for less than it will cost you to do it yourself go ahead. That only makes sense. If you are making a hundred bucks an hour on the net there is no sense of you doing something you can hire done for ten bucks an hour.
When you do hire a site designer to do a job for you make sure you are doing more than just hiring them to do a job you don't want to do. The benefits of hiring a designers are you can let that person worry about all the little things that come up halfway through a design that you never thought about until then. There is always something! Hiring someone to do it for you does give you more time to spend on your actual business marketing and strategy. Whatever designer you hire should be professionals so they should be good at what they do and be able to do it faster than you can. By out sourcing your design needs you don't have to worry when problems come up because they should be fixing it for you. They'll be able to pinpoint the problem and fix it much faster than you can yourself. Remember, the work you hire done should be better than you can do yourself because the people doing the design work have been doing it longer than you have. They do it for a living so they have to be pretty good to have customers. Always ask for references and some sites they've done so you can see samples of their work. |
