Sometimes you wonder if it's time to redesign your site with different layouts, graphics and text. The answer is yes if your visitors don't stay on your website and you aren't making money you should be making. Here are a few things you might want to consider about website redesign.Try to remember that your site design and layout was to serve a specific purpose. That purpose should have been selling something or getting Adsense clicks. If you want to do a website redesign just for the sake of redesigning your website you probably shouldn't do it. Particularly if you have a good selling website. Don't do a redesign just for the sake of having a different look. Do it to increase sales or visitors. When you want to make money on the internet that's where it comes from. Sales and visitors. If your visitors to your website have stopped buying from you it's time to redesign. If your website has had the same design for the last 5 years it's probably time to do a redesign makeover. If your traffic or sales have fallen off big time it's probably time to do a website makeover. You really don't want your hard earned visitors to be leaving just because your site is old fashioned. Some older websites that were state of the art five years ago are now very boring. MOF I'm redesigning this website right now and I definitely expect to make more money on the internet when the redesign is complete. Some people liken redesigning your site to performing plastic surgery on it but I wouldn't go so far as to call that a redesign, more of a face lift. If you do redesign your site totally it will lose it's current identity and your old visitors might not recognize it and think they landed on the wrong page. That's not a good thing so try to keep some of your old elements if you can or at the very least the same style they were used to. However if your frequent visitors aren't buying anything you aren't making any internet money so don't worry about them, if that's the case.
Some say you should put a poll on your internet website so your visitors can let you know what they want. Not a great idea because it only gives the visitors the options you want them to have. Instead put up a feedback form so they can tell you in their own words what they liked or didn't like about your website. If you get more than a few complaints about something then change it. If it's working leave it alone. However when doing your website redesign keep in mind all the things that your visitors complained about. If you do that you will be on your way to making money on the Internet.
