Is it easy to create my own website?Creating a website isn't all that hard, particularly if you compare it to other technical skills. Most people give up before they start because they hear the word 'programming' or 'technical' and think they can't handle it or that it will be to hard to learn to do it. HTML is the basic building block of a website and you can build great sites just using html. You don't need all the fancy tricks. It's simple to understand and you can buy a wysiwyg editor and then you don't even need to know much html at all.HTML stands for hyper text markup language and it's just a way of writing things and creating websites, that browsers like Microsoft Internet Explorer or Firefox can understand. HTML is only used to create websites or pages on sites. You can make a site as complicated or as easy as you want. With HTML is's really simple and with an editor it's even simpler to create basic webpages.
If you think coding HTML is to hard for you you can actually purchase programs, such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, or even Microsoft Frontpage. These programs sole purpose is to help people in designing professional looking webpages and websites. Grab a free trial of one of them and check it out to see if you like it. If you think the editors are to tough you can also use an online site builder. That's one that you control and do everything directly from your PC connected to the net. There are many different places on line where you can get a site and not need to know HTML. No coding neccessary. You can find many guides in books or magazines or even at Amazon.com that help by offering free tutorials, which by the way is how I learned to build websites. Online tutorials are a great way to learn and practice writing HTML. You'll discover it's not near as hard as you think. You could actually start this morning and be building sites by tonight. If you enjoy it building websites might become your favorite hobby. |
