Free websites and video sitesYou can have your own free websites. Even free video websites. Of course there are a lot of rotten websites on the net. You know that if you view personal websites. Some of them are quite bizzare and unusual.There are several places you can get your own free video website. YouTube is probably the most famous of all of them. Just register and you have your own page which is a website. You can make it as cool as you want to or as bizzare as you want. You can also get free sites or pages at Yahoo, WordPress, Google and other places. Do what you want to do with them and make them as cool or as rotten as you want. It's free. However none of them allow any type of nudity websites or hate, racial, threatening or other types of sites they find objectionable. Read the terms of service to see what the restrictions are. All of those sites are personal and come with restrictions. If you really want a free site or page and don't have any site building knowledge go with one of them. You don't have to know a thing except how to click your mouse. If you want to make money and be free of most of the restrictions you can get your own domain name. I recommend GoDaddy for buying names but NOT FOR HOSTING that domain name. There are two hosts I recommend, Webolocity and HotGator. You can get a site setup on both for less than 5 bucks a month. Not quite free but as far as making money goes about 100 times better than free. Both Webolocity and HostGator have one click installs of WordPress and all you have to do is fill in a couple of very simple things and you have a perfectly functioning website. They use Fantistico to install everything and that makes it very easy. Fantastico will also upgrade your site when an upgrade is available. I recommend WordPress over all other website platforms. You can do anything with it, it has plugins so you can make it a content website full of pics or you can make it a blog or pretty much what ever else you want. You will no longer have an excuse for having a rotten website. There are things I recommend you get for a WordPress site tho. First is a cool theme. You can find tons of them at the WordPress site. Make sure it's widget compatible and will work with WordPress 2.5 as that's the latest and best release. With widgets all you have to do is drag and drop them and they work. I have some standard widgets I use that work quite well. The first is Add This and it's a Social Bookmarking Widget that is problem free and easy to set up by checking a couple of boxes. Next is All in one SEO Pack and it will help with your SE optimization. AdSense Injection allows you to put Adsense ads or Yahoo YPN ads on your blog to make some money. If you want to put up galleries of pics or have a nudity website to make some money from adult sites and pictures I use NextGEN Gallery as it's so easy to use and it works with videos too. Akismet, a spam fighter comes with WordPress and you really need to activate it. People will come to your site and make comments and Akismet stops about 99.9% of that. Last but not least is WordPress Tweaks. It allows you to tweak a lot of things on your site, again by just clicking your mouse. So there you have it, you can have free websites, rotten or bizzare sites or you can spend less than 5 bucks a month and have a really cool personal site that will also allow you to make some money. After you learn a little about marketing the domain you paid for and the site you get space for will make you more than it costs. Total cost per month is less than one trip through McDonalds but the possible rewards could allow you to buy a McDonalds in a few years. It's your choice and it depends on what you want the site for. If it's a personal site just for fun go with one of the free places but if you want to make money get your own domain and hosting. You will be glad you did.
