Web Page BrowserHTML Codes for WebsitesDesigning for a less common web page browser. What kind of damn fool designs a 50 page site that looks like crap in any version of MSIE and then has the stupids to tell you on his website that it's designed for firefox and if you can't see things the right way, then go get firefox. The html codes for website that he is using isn't a good idea at any time.IOW, the message to the surfer with a different web page browser is Screw You, I don't care if you can see my site. The html codes only work correctly in firefox so unless you click on the site and get firefox you are screwed. Does it become clearer to you now? The idiot is getting paid from google or someone to get you to go to firefox and download their web page browser. Hopefully this idiot didn't want to sell anything else on his other 50 pages because he's not satisfying the greatest market share of surfers. Lol, they use MSIE. Doesn't matter if you like MSIE, that's what's used the most so excluding them and all other web browsers is just plain stupid if you want to make money. I will never download some other web browser just to view some idiots site that doesn't know or care about correct html codes to all browsers can use the site. Neither should you or anyone else. If you don't like your browser or a different one has features you want that your present web browser doesn't have, by all means get a different browser. Just don't do it to view some arrogant jerks website that doesn't have the slightest idea about good site design. I'm going to give flock a try because it does some things that MSIE6 doesn't do. BTW, I hate MSIE7. That's the only good reason to get a new browser. If I could find addons to make MSIE6 do the same things I'd use them instead. MSIE is still over 50% of browser usage so excluding them is going to cost a ton of money. Moreover, depending on what you are selling, newbies use MSIE more often than anyone else, you have excluded more than 50% of your market. In general newbies are easier to sell some things to than are experienced surfers. Newbies are also less likely to go download some other browser, probably from fear rather than anything else. They hear so many horror stories about the net, identity theft, CC theft, etc. that they are pretty much afraid to download anything let alone install it. Furthermore they probably have no clue as to how to install it. They go with what Microsoft gives them because they figure if it came with the PC it must be good and it must be safe to use. They have little knowledge of virii, phishing, etc. and have no clue how to be safe. Heh, you might say this is what prompted Vista. IMO Vista is a piece of crap that takes even more control away from users and does it all in the name of safety. MS should be ashamed but they aren't as it's all about the money. The dumber the user the happier they are with Vista. Unless I switch to some type of Unix for PC it's highly unlikely I'll ever upgrade to Vista or any other MS offering. XP Pro SP3 does everything I need, it's very stable and I see no sense upgrading to a piece of crap that hinders me instead of helps me. Anyway, here the list of browsers that were used on my Mental Power and Mind Power site during the month of August 2008. As you can see MSIE still has the largest segment by a wide margin. There are at least two ways to design for web page browsers. Use the HTML codes for the browser that is going to be most used on your websites and then try to find the code to make the other browsers work the way you want them to. If can be time consuming and complicated to write the HTML for your websites to allow all browsers to function the way they should. If you are a newbie to website design or don't know any HTML codes for websites I'd suggest you do as I do and use simple tables to hold your data. Almost all web page browsers can deal with simple tables and display them correctly. That's what you want. This site is nothing but tables. The html codes for the tables are very easy to learn and tables are even easy to use. If you keep it simple, like I do on this website, designing for the different browser is simple. My recommendation is to design for MSIE and then make it look as good as you can in Firefox. That should cover the vast majority of surfers you get at your site. Don't design for just one browser like Firefox. If you do you are throwing away 86% of your traffic. I can't afford that, can you? It's why I use the html codes for websites that I use. It makes designing for a web page browser that much easier.
