As I predicted last year, the price of gas just keeps going up. What an inconvenient time to work on the pipeline in Alaska. Beginning to sound Enronesque with the manipulation of oil prices.
The war in Iraq may be a problem but IMO the collapse of our economy and the loss of our way of life should be a bigger concern to the damn politicians. It's hard to believe that we still have no comprhensive energy policy and no incentives to wean ourselves off of high priced and increasingly scare, oil.
Sheesh, talk about people with their head in the sand, no, not the Saudis even if the have plenty of sand, but the citizens of the USA who believe we are never going to run out of gas. This is perhaps the biggest problem getting a comprehensive energy policy. The average person still expects oil to last forever and for the govt to make damn sure it's cheap oil.
Well, y'all better be pulling your heads out of the sand and taking some steps to make sure you can get from point A to point B when the gas finally runs out. Heh, last year I traded in my 4WD pickup, with a big motor and tons of power, for a smaller Pontiac Aztek that gets twice the mileage. Not that I wanted to but neither did I want to pay over 100 dollars for a tank of gas. I'm continuing to look at alternatives to the Aztek but all I can see is a hybred or downsize my car some more. What are you doing to make sure we don't run out of gas in the near future?
